Jury Recommendations

To the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services

It is recommended that all provincial correctional facilities install x-ray based body scanners for the purpose of detecting and deterring the introduction of contraband into the institution.

To the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, Ontario Provincial Police and Smiths Falls Police Service.

It is recommended that all officers and staff involved in the care and control of detainees should have standardized training to help recognize the signs and symptoms of drug overdose.
