Jury Recommendations

  1. Recommend that the Ministry of Labour explore specific regulations to protect the safety of the worker in situations where there are limited options for safe tie-off or anchoring. 
  2. Recommend that the Ministry of Labour, in reviewing the “Working at Heights Training Program Standard” in 2019, include the provision of industry resources, including best practice guidelines, to participants, including follow-up dissemination of newly developed resources through an email/mailing list.
  3. Recommend that the Ministry of Labour, in reviewing the “Working at Heights Training Program Standard” in 2019, include a damaged rope (lifeline) in the list of equipment used in the delivery of the training (section 8.3 – Damaged Equipment).
