Jury Recommendations

To Ontario Provincial Government:

  1. To consider amending the wording under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, "Notification" section 6(1)(a) which requires notifications to the ministry for projects exceeding $50,000. To reduce this figure to a lesser amount, to capture smaller construction projects, in order to increase compliance, at those sites with safety regulations

To Infrastructure Health and Safety Association:

  1. To increase public awareness and awareness in the construction industry, about the potential and actual serious injuries and/or deaths from rollover incidents. This would include awareness of requirements for use of rollover protection systems/equipment and restraints.
