Community engagement sessions Kemptville

Community engagement sessions for new correctional facilities

Ontario is transforming its adult correctional system by investing in building and updating correctional facilities in Eastern Ontario to improve staff and inmate safety as well as modernize facilities. These projects will address issues of overcrowding and create new spaces for the delivery of mental health services, inmate programming and staff training.

Planning is underway and managed by Infrastructure Ontario. We are engaging with staff, as well as justice, community and Indigenous partners through community engagement sessions to receive feedback throughout design and development.

Eastern Ontario Correctional Complex

A new multi-purpose correctional centre in Kemptville will be built on an existing government-owned site.
