Individuals approved by the Community or Provincial Emergency Management Coordinators to deliver the Basic Emergency Management Course.

Must be nominated as the trainer for a municipality, ministry or First Nation

Description

At the end of this course the participant will be able to deliver the Basic Emergency Management course in their municipality or ministry in accordance with current standards.

This course will provide all the resources needed to deliver a community or ministry based BEM course.

The intent of this course is not to teach participants how to be an instructor. Participants will deliver lessons to their peers and encouraged to use their imagination in the delivery technique. Participants will, however, have the opportunity to receive feedback from their peers and the lead instructor regarding both the content knowledge and delivery methodology. Feedback will be provided in a relaxed setting with the intent of supporting the efforts as an instructor of the BEM course. This feedback is not a part of the course evaluation.
