As of 2pm ET, July 22, the State of Local Emergency in the City of Peterborough, due to recent flooding, remains in effect. The recovery efforts continue, and electricity has been restored to most residences. Natural gas is also in the process of being reconnected. Emergency Management Ontario's Provincial Emergency Response Team members are still deployed to the City of Peterborough. The Peterborough County-City Health Unit recommends that water from private wells which had been flooded should not be consumed.
