Training

Introduction

From 2002 through 2005, EMO concentrated on the development and implementation of immediate and direct training to support the launch of Ontario's core emergency management program. From 2006 onward, EMO's training courses will be aimed at supporting the development of risk-based comprehensive emergency management in Ontario.

Courses

Please click on the links below for course descriptions, schedules and enrolment. The schedules are based on an annual "needs-assessment" conducted with provincial ministries and communities.

Application for Canadian Emergency Management Courses

EMO is responsible for endorsing all Ontario participants attending the Emergency Site Management (ESM) and the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) courses conducted by the Canadian Emergency Management College in Ottawa. Please read the College guidelines.

Applications for Emergency Management Ontario and Canadian Emergency Management College courses will be accepted 10 days before the start of each course.
