Dr. Andrew McCallum

Dr. Andrew McCallum was appointed Chief Coroner for Ontario in June 2008. Dr. McCallum is a graduate of McMaster University School of Medicine. He served in the Canadian Forces as a medical officer and flight surgeon and then trained in Emergency Medicine at the University of Toronto. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. McCallum was appointed Regional Supervising Coroner for Eastern Ontario and adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Queens University in September 2003. He was previously Chief of Emergency Medicine and Chief of Staff at Hamilton Health Sciences as well as Associate Professor of Medicine at McMaster University. Prior to his work in Hamilton, he held leadership positions at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
