Reporting Period

Offenders who are convicted of a sex offence for which the maximum sentence is not more than 10 years are required to register for a 10-year period. Those found not criminally responsible for a sex offence on account of a mental disorder for which the maximum sentence is not more than 10 years are also required to register for a 10-year period.

Offenders convicted of more than one criteria offence and those convicted of offences for which the maximum sentence is more than 10 years are subject to registration requirements for life.
