Ontario Sex Offender Registry
Who Must Register?
Residents of Ontario must register if they:
- Serving a sentence which includes probation, parole, or incarceration on the day Christopher's Law was proclaimed or
- Convicted of a criteria sex offence on or after the date the legislation came into force.
- Have been found not criminally responsible for a criteria sex offence by reason of a mental disorder on or after the date the legislation came into effect and later received an absolute or conditional discharge for that criteria offence
Are young persons convicted of a criteria sex offence and received a sentence within the adult court under Section 16 of the Government of Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act.
