Community Notification

The Police Services Act, as amended by the Community Safety Act, empowers local police chiefs to publicly disclose information about offenders considered to be a significant risk to a community. Such disclosure must be done in accordance with the Police Services Act and its regulations. The public does not have access to the Ontario Sex Offender Registry database.
