Quality Assurance

Current Status

In August, 2002, the Quality Assurance Unit began an inspection program aimed at inspecting 13 to 15 police services annually. These Quality Control Inspections (QCI) will focus on areas of police services that are critically important to the province.

To ensure a fair and productive process, sufficient advance notice will be given to those police services whose turn it is to be inspected.

To help organizations through the inspection process, the Police Services Advisor assigned to the area will prepare an individualized inspection plan. The plan identifies and defines the particular focus of the inspection. Consultation with all stakeholders also takes place prior to the QCI.
