Training and Testing

The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services is developing materials to support the training standards and testing requirements under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005. The ministry does not currently recognize any organization that claims to be offering ministry-prescribed training.

Information about how to become a recognized trainer is under development and will be posted on the website once finalized.

The Private Security and Investigative Services Branch (PSISB) is pleased to advise that the training curricula for security practitioners and private investigators is complete.
