Why the Complex is being built

Current facilities are over 30 years old. Scientific methods have evolved substantially since that time and the new complex will help ensure our agencies can keep pace with the demands in the justice sector.

Offices are currently located in small, outdated facilities at the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services downtown Toronto location, with no existing room for expansion.
