The Sample Emergency Procedures listed here provide suggestions, guidance and best practices that could be introduced in your building to minimize or eliminate possible risks.

Please note that the fire/explosion emergency procedure components will only satisfy part of your obligation as a building owner to comply with the Emergency Planning and Fire Safety Plan requirements under Section 2.8 of the Ontario Fire Code. As the Chief Fire Official is responsible for approving your building's Fire Safety Plan, please consult your local fire department for advice on this subject.
