We, the jury, wish to make the following recommendations:


Inquest into the deaths of:

Robert Alarie, Chaine Anderson and Aram Hadi


Jury Recommendations

  1. The jury recommends that the Correctional Services of Canada continue to work with law enforcement and provincial counterparts to develop and adopt new techniques to prevent illicit drugs from entering prisons and detect and intercept illicit drugs once they have entered a prison.
  2. The jury recommends that the Correctional Services of Canada continue in its efforts to educate both staff and the inmate population as to the use and effect of existing illicit drugs and new illicit drugs that may have the potential to enter the prison system.
