Toronto—Dr. Dan Cass, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Toronto West Office, today announced the details of the inquest that will be held into the death of Dinalte Camara.
Mr. Camara, age 29, died on August 3, 2010, from injuries received during the course of his employment at a construction site in Toronto. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the events surrounding Mr. Camara’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
The inquest is expected to last three days and hear from approximately eight witnesses.
The inquest will commence at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at the Coroners Courts, 15 Grosvenor Street, Toronto. Dr. David Evans will preside as inquest coroner and Mr. John Rinaldi will be counsel to the coroner.
